Description of Tichborne to accompany plate 1. Mentions the church and Tichborne House, but concentrates on the custom of the Tichborne Dole, in which a dole of bread was given to any poor folk who should apply for it at Tichborne House on Lady Day. The piece was written whilst the famous Tichborne peerage case was a recent memory.
