A path can be seen across the road, which was kept swept so the ladies going to St Faith's Church opposite would not get their long dresses dirty.Post Office: Built in 1892 at a cost of £706-5s-0d and the lamp outside cost £10-17s-6d. The Postmaster in 1896 was George Whittle and the opening times were:- Weekdays 8am to 8pm and Sundays 7am to 10am.Bank: The Capital and Counties Bank manager was Peter Mortimer Hooper.Pub: The White Hart pub (public house) was built in 1889.Copy photograph of an engraving.
